History and Lore

Amazon is one of the oldest clans of Aardwolf. We originally (early 2000's) existed as The Sisterhood of Amazon Warriors, a predominately female-only, female-led clan, but some time in the last decade (mid-2010's), rebranded as Tribes of the Amazon to be more inclusive (so fear no more, males are no longer merely relegated to be Breed Stock and Pit Champions!).

Overview

If you're considering joining our clan, you're at the right place.

While we are looking to grow our clan, we don't just accept anyone as a member. IRL, we're a group of mature, but serious people. We like to have fun on the MUD, but RL always takes higher precedence for us.

Our clan channel has fun conversations, but one thing that brings us together is that we're all driven and goal-oriented -- both in-game and IRL.

For our next members, we are looking for that special sauce (expert at PK, goal-solving, campaigning, enchanting, crafting, leveling, etc), or players that just want to quietly make solid progress in the game and be willing to contribute wherever needed, like dragging a fellow clan mate to SH once in a while.

Current members of Boot may apply without outcasting; all other applicants are required to be un-clanned at the time of applying.

Qualifications

Without further ado, these are the suggested minimum requirements for a player considering to join our ranks:

• Reached T2R1 or above
• 50k quest points earned
• 20 GQ wins
• 200 campaigns completed

NOTE: These are general guidelines that we feel, when met, provide the best starting point for clan life. Anyone who really is interested in joining Amazon, but who might not meet the above requirements, are still encouraged to apply.

Joining Process

1. Prepare a small note about yourself, what you like and maybe even don’t like or would like to get better at in Aardwolf and post it on the personal board to Amazon.
2. After you have received a response note there is a 1 week period where members may contact you to get to know you. You are also welcome to contact members if you have any questions.
3. After the one week period you will need to conduct an interview with a leader, and talk to as many clan members as possible. After which if all goes well you will be inducted when a leader is available to do so.

Not being able to answer a question during the interview is NOT grounds for rejection so try not to worry!

Clan Rules

1. All mud rules must be followed. Read 'help rules' in game for more information on this
2. No selling of PK allowed
3. Although Clantalk is an R rated channel attacking someones race, religion, sexuality, nationality or other forms of harassment will not be tolerated.
4. Staff Members will be expected to help the clan/clan members whenever possible.
5. Improper behavior may result in Outcasting and is at the leader's discretionary power, to be reviewed by all other leaders.
6. One can't have an alt in the clan unless it serves a purpose such as an enchanter alt, blacksmith, sitter etc.
7. One cannot have an alt in another clan. This is deemed a conflict of interest.
8. All members will be outcasted from the clan if they are inactive for a set time. The time starts at 6 months for the lowest ranks and raises by 3 months per rank. If you do return just inform a leader that you were outcasted due to inactivity and you will be reinstated.

Remember that as a member you not only represent yourself in Aardwolf but our entire clan. Always keep this is mind.

Codes of Conduct

• External Clan Conduct: Appropriate conduct demonstrated outside the clan hall will be expected. Clan members are allowed a total extent of freedom in regards to PK, but are not required to. Spam killing (killing someone repeatedly in a short amount of time) is not and will not be allowed.
• Internal Clan Conduct: Within the halls, it is expected of members to listen to each other and be tolerable of each others differences. If a conflict arises, members are encouraged to work it out amongst themselves, but failing that a higher ranking individual may be sought as a mediator.

As of 2023, Amazon is a no-PK clan.

Historically, Amazon participated in the PK system.
